Rooms designed to nurture, support and help children grow
At Sandytots, our vision is to provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel happy and secure. We pride ourselves on helping children build confidence, independence and positive social skills.
Our carefully designed spaces support your child through every stage of their development, with access to enclosed safe areas, outdoor equipment and nurturing experiences that ensure your child can truly thrive during their time at Sandytots.
Let’s find out more about the rooms your child will move into as they progress through the nursery.
- Ages: 3 months - 2 Years
Our Starfish Room caters for babies aged 3 months to 2 years. During these important early years, we support your little ones with regular access to a private sensory room and an enclosed garden with carefully chosen equipment to encourage physical development.
We offer a variety of sensory activities, including Moo Music, and create gentle, meaningful moments that help children begin to develop greater empathy, kindness and a sense of responsibility through time spent with our much-loved Starfish animals – a tortoise and our friendly bunnies.
- Ages: 2 - 3 Years
Our Jellyfish Room caters for toddlers aged 2–3 years, supporting children as their confidence and curiosity continue to grow. The room is thoughtfully designed to encourage physical development, support developing communication skills and help children take small but important steps towards independence.
Jellyfish has its own enclosed courtyard, offering a range of engaging equipment that supports both imaginative play and physical development. We also enjoy regular circle-time activities, introducing early concepts such as space, colours and numbers in a fun, playful way.
- Ages: 3 - 4 Years
Our Pufferfish Room caters for pre-schoolers aged 3–4 years, supporting children as they work towards becoming school-ready by developing key skills such as listening, focus and following instructions.
Pufferfish children enjoy regular access to our woodland forest area, home to our much-loved pet ducks. These experiences help children develop greater empathy, kindness and a growing sense of responsibility.
The room also offers exciting opportunities for active and imaginative play, with climbing frames, climbing walls and a boat slide that encourage creativity, confidence and role play. Designed with the future in mind, the Pufferfish Room helps gently prepare your child for that exciting next step – starting school.
