We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year! As we give a warm welcome to 2026, we thought we’d share with you a few key dates to remember throughout the year.
February 2026
Parents Evening – Tuesday 10th February 2026
We would like to discuss your child’s progress with a 10-minute slots between 6:10 PM and 8:00 PM. Please book your appointment with your child’s key worker starting from 26th January 2026. As you can understand, it is a long day for our staff, and in the past, some parents have not shown up for their booked slot, leaving staff waiting unnecessarily. If you find yourself unable to attend after booking, we kindly ask that you let us know.
March 2026
World Book Day – Thursday 5th March 2026
Children of all ages will come together to appreciate reading. The main aim of World Book Day in the UK and Ireland is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading. If your child would like to dress up as their favourite book characters, they are more than welcome (dressing up is optional).
Easter Stay and Play – Wednesday 25th March 2026
Our ‘Easter Stay and Play’ will be 10am-11:15 am. If you would like to attend, please can you let the office know by Friday 13th March 2026 (max 2 adults).
Group Photos – Thursday 26th March 2026
If you would like your child to be in the group photo and your child does not attend this day, you will need to bring them into nursery and collect them afterwards. Time slots for each room are below. Please ask a member of staff if you need to clarify which room your child is in.

Primary School Admissions – Thursday 16th April 2026

St Georges Day – Thursday 23rd April 2026
We will be having a celebration for ‘St George’s Day’, if you would like to dress up please feel free to do so. Some suggestions are anything red and white or Knights and Princess theme.
May 2026
Photos Individual – On a Summer Scene – Monday 11th May 2026
If your child is in nursery on this day, you do not need to do anything, we will get their photos taken throughout the day. If they are not in and you would like one taken, please attend during the sessions. 8am-9am Drop-in session for children who do not normally attend on this day. 1pm-2pm Drop-in session for children who do not normally attend on this day.
June 2026
Graduation Photos – Monday 29th June 2026
If your child is in nursery on this day, you do not need to do anything, their photos will be taken throughout the day. If they are not in and you would like one taken, please attend during one of the drop-in sessions: 8am-9am and 1pm-2pm.
July 2026
School Leavers Party – Thursday 16th July 2026
To celebrate your child’s exciting journey from Sandytots Nursery we will be holding our ‘School Leavers Party’ 13:00 -15:45. We have lots of fun and exciting activities for them to enjoy with their friends ready for their next adventure to school. If your child is booked in at this time, you do not need to do anything. However, if your child does not attend on an afternoon, on this special occasion only, you may swap from the morning session to the afternoon session. Alternatively, if you would like the extra session the cost will be £28.50. Please let the office know any changes to sessions by Thursday 18th June 2026.
